Morris is smart & energetic little man from New Zealand.
He loves doing things, no matter what those things are. This little fellow is absolutely versitality dog and I’m sure he could do so much more if I would be smart enough to teach him 😉 At this point he’s hobbies are dog dancing – freestyle, hunting & dog shows and he loves to do all of that stuff and is doing everything with 100% commitment and his heart on doing. He learns quickly new stuff and still sometimes amazes me how fast he really can learn.
One day I truly realised how genious this little man is. I was alone in the woods with Morris getting some blueberries. Well… Everyone who knows me, knows that I don’t really have the best orienteering skills. I know that problem and checked out where did I turn etc when I went to a place where I never been before. Morris stayed beside me hole time. Then it was time to go home, I got up, looked around and felt a tiny bit unsure, but though that that’s the way where I came from. This little guy felt that I was uncertain, he came to me and if he could, he would have taken my hand 😀
Well, he couldn’t take my hand but he came to my, looked me into eyes like saying ”dear mom, follow me, you’re so lost”. I started following Morris, he walked in front of me and didn’t get but max 2 metres in front of me and then stopped and checked out if I was coming. I trusted him, and went along and finally, there we were, in the place that I knew and also knew that in here I know where to go. In that moment when I felt sure again where to go, Morris looked at me and started running around woods like he is normally doing. And I never have thought him that.
After this happening, I was talking to my dear friend and she told me that I should teach Morris command ”car”, so if those things happen again, this smart fellow could lead me straight to my car. Haven’t started that teaching yet, but I’m sure Morris will learn that fast, like every other things 🙂
My warmest thanks to Stuart & Peter for letting Morris come here in Finland, he is so amazing!
